Dutch winger Arjen Robben could be out for the rest of the year as he struggles to recover from a thigh injury he picked up at the World Cup, his club Bayern Munich said on Sunday.
Robben, 26, picked up the injury playing for the Netherlands before last month s World Cup finals and although he played a big part in helping the Dutch get to the final, he has aggravated the injury and now needs complete rest.
It now looks as though the Dutchman could be out until the winter break when the second half of the season begins in January.
It is more than questionable whether Arjen will be able to play for us in the Bundesliga s round of matches before Christmas, Bayern s director of sport Christian Nerlinger told German daily Bild on Sunday.
After playing with t…
Marcus Rashford is hoping he gets a chance to redeem himself from a missed penalty in England s European Championship final defeat to Italy during the World Cup.
The Manchester United forward was among three members of Gareth Southgate s side to fail to beat Gianluigi Donnarumma from the spot in the shootout, alongside Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka.
The trio were then subject to racial abuse on social media, but that has not put him off stepping up for the Three Lions if required in Qatar.
Racism is not good to go through as an individual but it s not good to see anyone go through it. [It s] more just disappointment. You re disappointed that people have views like that, he said.
And the main reason is that you don t have those views about anyone else, re…
The ecosystem of the NFC will look very different after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3.
The defending Super Bowl champs were rare NFL betting underdogs for this cross-country trip west, opening as big as +1.5. However, early action on Tampa Bay has bumped this spread over the fence and the visitor is now giving L.A. a point inside SoFi Stadium.
We’ve got free NFL picks and predictions for Buccaneers at Rams – the biggest game of the day – on September 26.

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will try to exorcise some playoff demons when they host the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL Divisional Round.
Against San Francisco in the postseason, Rodgers is 0-3 in his career but this time the Packers have the advantage of being the No. 1 seed in the NFC and are coming off a bye, while the Niners will play their third consecutive road game.
But the question is, who will cover the 6-point spread? Find out in our free NFL picks and predictions for 49ers vs. Packers on Saturday, January 22.

On the Week 7 edition of Thursday Night Football, we’ll see the New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars meet at the Caesars Superdome. It’s a fascinating matchup, but our priority here is Alvin Kamara odds — the Saints RB has played three games since returning from his suspension and has already accumulated 285 yards from scrimmage.
With all eyes on Kamara, we’re going to get stuck into the best NFL odds prop markets for the 28-year-old running back. I’ve taken a look at Alvin Kamara-specific markets for my free NFL picks on tonight’s edition of Thursday Night Football.

The Philadelphia Eagles will have one eye on the New York Giants and one eye on the out-of-town scoreboard in Week 18.
Philadelphia’s late-season swoon has potentially cost it the NFC East title and a home playoff game, pending the result of Sunday’s Dallas-Washington contest that kicks off at the same time as this 4:25 p.m. ET start.
Should the Cowboys beat the Commanders, they would win in the division and the Eagles would slide to the No. 5 seed in the conference regardless of the result of this game in East Rutherford.
What does that mean for bettors in this Week 18 NFC East encounter with the Eagles listed as five-point favorites in the NFL odds?
I break down the spread and Over/Under for Eagles vs. Giants and give my best …
Week 2 hit NFL survivor pools like a tornado in the trailer park, leaving less than 17% of entries in Covers’ free-to-play Pro Football Survivor Contest still standing to see Week 3.
After Week 1 results took a sizable chunk out of the pools, Week 2 was a great white bite with big faves like Baltimore, San Francisco, Dallas, Detroit, and Philadelphia all going down.
Luckily for me, I avoided those clubs and banked on the Los Angeles Chargers — or more the poor play of the Carolina Panthers — to get me through. The Bolts came up big, with a one-sided win.
I do expect the wild upsets to temper in Week 3, so don’t think you’re wise riding that crazy train into Week 4. That said, there are some sizable favorites I would avoid like th…
